Working with Puzzle Pro 3.1 / The Layout Mode / A Splitter's HOWTOs
One of the best ways to obtain the "good looking" Splitter is to change its "straight-grid" appearance (which is set by default) by adding some randomization to the position of Splitter's knots. You can do that either manually, directly manipulating any knot in the Main Preview area, or automatically.

For manual adjusting the knots' position, click on the particular knot (that small blue square that you see in the Main Preview area) and drag without releasing the mouse, to change this knot's position.

To randomize the knots' position automatically, drag the Randomize Knots slider, keeping in mind that the greater the value of the randomization, the more the Splitter is "distorted".

Note: when you manually manipulate the knot, then the knives that are connected in this knot temporary change their color to blue.

Note: when you manually manipulate the knot, then you can get the "default" position of the knot back if you click on this knot while holding down the Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac OS X) button.

Note: if you randomize the knots' position automatically, then the existing knives' selection does matter. NO (or ALL) selected knives result that ALL knots will change their position. If just a few knives are selected, then only the knots that are "tied" with these selected knives will change their position.

Note: if you randomize the knots' position automatically and you are not happy with the obtained result, then you can click (as many times as necessary) the "Re-Randomize" button , until you are happy with the result.

Note: at any time you can get the "default" position of the knots back by clicking the "Straight-grid" button .

Note: whether you randomize the knots' position automatically or manually, there are four (4) knots, which position is NOT changing. These are the corners' knots and they are represented by the hollow blue squares in the Main Preview.
